One of my his treasured relationships was as a personal student of Dr. Spiros Zodhiates. He benefited from learning the Greek language from this recognized authority on the Greek language. While serving as Administrative Assistant to the Campus Pastor at Liberty University, Joe learned practical and essential tools for ministry. This prepared him to begin serving in Monroe, VA at Tabernacle Baptist Church as Assistant to the Pastor (Dr. Gregory Tyree) for one year. It was in 1994 that he and Joanie moved to York, PA and Calvary Bible Church. At that time they founded Kids For Christ “KIDS KLUB”—a program intended to function as an evangelistic and equipping ministry for children in the surrounding community. During this time Calvary’s “Summer DayCamp” also began and has been running annually since 1994. In 1997 he was called to become the Sr. Pastor of CBC and has continued in that role since.
Together with Misiker Kebede, Joe founded SGM and has served as President of the organization since it's inception. Today he travels to SGM fields of service where he functions in the role of pastoral training.
